It's 6 pm Christmas Eve and Noelle Tannenbaum decides to finish her holiday shopping at her local mall. She is 38 weeks pregnant with child # 2. Her hubby Kris is in the town of Oshkosh 2 hours away on a business trip. As Noelle is walking to the mall entrance, she suddenly feels "wet" between her legs and starts screaming with severe abdominal pain! The mall's "Santa Claus" is leaving the mall at the same time and notices Noelle in dire distress! "Santa" rushes to Noelle's aid and offers to drive her to the hospital. Noelle is so distraught she doesn't tell "Santa" where she planned to have the baby (in two weeks) at the large hospital 5 miles away! "Santa" lives in an adjacent town that also has a hospital but does not have Obstetrical Services and does not routinely deliver babies! Without thinking, "Santa" drives Noelle to his town and local hospital! Upon arrival to the ER, "Santa Claus" drives up to the ambulance entrance, rushes out of his car, grabs an empty wheelchair and persuades Noelle to get in! "Santa" rushes in the ER pushing Noel who is slipping out of the wheelchair, rubbing her belly and screaming, "I want my Doula" ! The ER nurses look at each other in bewilderment, what is a "Doula"?
