As nursing students you know the news media has been widespread with reports of a new drug-resistant "super bug" - striking fear into the hearts of people throughout the nation. The word on the street is that MRSA (methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus) is unresponsive to most common antibiotics, deadly, and quickly headed for a town near you.
This dreadful infection has now invaded our school! One of our students at the Nightingale School of Nursing has been diagnosed with this potentially life threatening disease.
Our student body is frightened and concerned. They want to know how to protect themselves against this possibly fatal disease.

The Dean of Nursing has asked the senior nursing students for help in preventing this disease from spreading. Students in Community Health will utilize the Internet to research this disease process and develop a MRSA prevention plan.
If you do not have a MRSA prevention plan...you could be the next victim of this disease!
