To complete this quest you will be placed in a group of three students. All three students are in the same class and currently studying Community Health. Class time will be provided over the course of three consecutive classes where all work is to be completed.
Step One:
- Each student is responsible for completing the individual assignment on the fact sheet to gain a generalized understanding of MRSA.
Step Two:
- As a group you are responsible for equally dividing the areas of research listed under the group assignment on the fact sheet.
- During class each student will review the links provided and gather the information needed to complete their parts of the fact sheet.
Step Three:
- As a group all three students will meet in class and combine your research to assemble the MRSA fact sheet which you will then distribute to your fellow nursing students.
- As a group you will meet in class and work collaboratively utilizing your research and fact sheet to design a 30 minute lesson plan and an activity for the 6th grade Middle School students.
Step Four:
- Your group will be given an opportunity in class to rehearse your lesson plan and accompanying activity prior to the actual lesson.
- After rehearsal and any modification of the leas son plan/activity all team members will then take part in teaching the lesson and activity to the twenty 6th grade Middle School students on the assigned date.
