Advice for Teachers:

• If more applicable, use an outdated law from your own town.
• Group students heterogeneously so they may more easily teacher each other.
• Always be circulating around the room, encouraging students to stay on task.

Prior Knowledge:

Students have been studying the constitution for three weeks by now. They have been introduced to the three branches of the United States government. Students are aware that differences exist between the three branches and that each branch has a different role within the government.

Students have created PowerPoint presentations in the past and have also utilized Inspiration, so they are familiar with graphic organizers. They are aware that appropriate placement of images help individual PowerPoint slides convey a clearer message than those without images.
