As Senior Students Nurses you will soon have the responsibility of caring for patients with acute coronary conditions, such as Myocardial Infarctions (MI).  Coronary heart disease is America's number one cause of death.  It is essential for nurses to be  prepared to holistically care for the MI patient, implementing collaborative efforts with the multidisciplinary healthcare team, including Nurses, Dietitians, and Wellness Coordinators/Educators.  This knowledge will also help you when taking the N-CLEX examination in order to receive licensure as a Registered Nurse.
