The task is to work in groups of three to determine that the location you want to go to is the most beneficial for the entire class. Each person will be given $500 for the 3 day trip. You need to plan where to stay, where to eat, and all daytime and nighttime activities making sure to stay within the budget.
This determination will be made keeping the following criteria in mind:
Does my trip stay within the given budget?
Do I have a good variety of educational and fun activities?
Does the plan make logistical sense? (Did we schedule lunch on the opposite side of town from where we are doing our morning activity?)
Once all information has been collected, the group will prepare a Powerpoint Presentation that will persuade the Board of Education that your trip is the trip we should take this year. The powerpoint will need to be between 8 and 10 slides long. You willl also be expected to prepare a visual display (bar graph, circle graph, line graph...etc.) based on your individual task.
