Suggested Activities

Introduction

• Review coordinates and using grids to read maps.
• Discuss how pilots and sailors navigate the globe.

Exploration

• Classroom Globe -- divide the classroom using lines of latitude and longitude.
• Use graphic organizers to identify what each of the terms are and are not.
• Reading and activity sheets for reinforcement and notes.
