globe, latitude and longitude.
At this point, you should have completed a basic study or review of map skills, and you are now ready to use coordinates, to learn about the imaginary lines of latitude and longitude, and to ultimately locate various places on the earth with the specific goal of identifying your dream vacation location.

The teacher page provides information and ideas for presenting the material to a fifth grade class. It also outlines the project based learning activity and supplies a rubric. There are links for both you and your students.

Student Page
The student page include information and web sites to visit in order to practice the skills necessary to understand and master latitude and longitude. Parents, please feel free to sit with your child and explore the globe as he/she travels around the world.
