This WebQuest “Once Upon a Time" is designed for third grade students. The students are to work together in groups of three. This WebQuest will compel students to follow each activity as they engage through the mystical world of fairy tales to find and or create the perfect form of magic to help save the princess from the evil woman.
MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCES THAT ARE INCLUDED ARE:
VERBAL LINGUISTIC
Students will listen to stories on the designated websites as well as listen to stories being presented (speaking) during whole group discussion.
VISUAL/SPATIAL
Students will read stories on the designated websites, view numerous fairy tales on the designated website, and construct (writing) their own fairy tale.
BODILY/KINESTHETIC
Students will perform/act out their parts of the magical spell they decided to use while reading their own stories during the skit.
LOGICAL/MATHEMATICAL
Students will use critical thinking skills and problem solving methods to figure out the best magical technique to rescue the princess from the evil woman.
INTERPERSONAL
Students will work collectively as they research each fairy tale to find which form of magic that will work best for them in rescuing the princess.
INTRAPERSONAL
Each student will work individually as they prepare, develop, and complete their own fairy tale incorporating their job into rescuing the princess.

ABSTRACT RANDOM
Students will come together at the end for a presentation and listen to each fairy tale being read and performed.
ABSTRACT SEQUENTIAL
Each student will examine an assortment of fairy tales in order to find the correct form of magic. Using logic and critical thinking strategies to construct a plan for saving the princess.
CONCRETE RANDOM
With many different selections to choose from, the student will be able to conceive an ideal plan to concoct a form of magic.
CONCRETE SEQUENTIAL
This WebQuest was created for the sequential learner in mind with its step-by-step instructions. The student will easily be able to relate to the fairy tales in order to save the princess.

EMOTIONS
Fairy tales are loved by all. They are written to tell a story with a lesson to be learned in the end. This plays an integral part on students’ emotions. They will enjoy reading about all the fabulous, mystical places along with the evil villains that are incorporated into these magnificent tales of good and evil. Through magical deeds done to save the day, a lesson will be taught in the end.
MOTIVATION
Students will become motivated as they connect with the topic of fairy tales. They will be able to create their own fairy tale including a form of magic that they invented themselves. Motivating them will help them become much more involved in the work and comprehend the lesson behind the story.
