TEACHERS - HOW TO POST HOMEWORK ON THE RINGWOOD WEBSITE

   STEP #1:  Open up www.ringwoodschools.org website. 

On the left side of the website in the menu bar, find where it states:

Homework Hero. Click ONCE on Homework Hero.

                    Click ONCE on your school building's name either in the center of the page

                                               or from the list on the left side of the page.

                                                   You need to click ONCE on this bar.

      On this page, you will need to click ONCE on the Update an Assignment Page which is under the  icon.  

         Also, here is the location where you can have the technology coordinator send you your ID and Password.

                               You need to type in your User ID and password, and then you need to select an option that represents the action you want to complete.  You have three (3) choices which you can see below.  If you are updating your student homework assignments, you need to choose "Modify Your Assignment"; if you are uploading a new image, you need to choose "upload a new image for your page; and if you are changing an image you already have on your page, choose "delete an existing image from your page".  Then you need to click ONCE on    

           Page Title (Your name), E-mail address (parents will utilize this address), URL to your Website, URL to web image, Announcement Headline (title for your students), and then Announcement Text (overall class needs), Course Name (grade level and department), and then finally your class and homework assignments that are the responsibility of the students.  I suggest you leave several weeks on at a time so that when students ask you about past assignments, you can send them to Homework Hero (as well as the parents).

You can also use the   buttons to get additional information about the type of date that should go into the boxes.  For example, if you click on the   button after the Announcement Headline, you will find this information:

    This item provides a headline for your announcements entry (which follows next on the form).

    A simple entry like "Announcements" or "Important Dates" would be appropriate.

    STEP #7:  When you are done, click the                                         button, and your announcements will be saved. 

You will see the information and message below.  You can then Click Here to View Your Page (which is a good idea and then you can print out your assignments and staple them into your plan book in case your homework assignments have changed from that which your scheduled).  You can also Click Here to Return to the Form and Edit Assignments.  If you want to change the image that appears on your personal Homework Hero page, you can accomplishment that task here.  You Click on the                                            button, and upload an image from your hard drive (from a folder on your hard drive).
