Summary
Congratulations!
You have now reached the final stage of the "Simple Machines Web Quest"
Individually, you researched and learned about simple machines. As you are now aware, each simple machine is unique, so everyone was learning something different.
Cooperatively, you brought your research and knowledge to your group to help solve a dilemma. You discussed, debated, and concluded on how best to solve your particular problem. You have created something new, something original ... Rube Goldberg Machine from junk! You designed and built a complex machine that performed a task that you could do much easier yourself. If you weren't in prison! You tied the product together into a unified whole using your skills with Microsoft Powerpoint / Microsoft Word Processing / Diagrams / Pictures / and a Typed Log.
We hope that you achieved a sense of satisfaction from your work. The fun in a Rube is making do with what you have. It's a chance to amaze and awe your friends! It's fun! It's wacky ! We hope also that you've had a serious look at simple machines from perhaps a different perspective, a creative / literary one.
During the final stage of this WebQuest, you can now be super creative and run with your imagination. Enjoy! Now is the time for you to share all of your hard work with the rest of the class. Each group is responsible for sharing their work in the following way.

Think of a machine in real life that uses all of the simple machines that you learned about.
Now that you know what goes into a Rube Goldberg Design, what machine would you create or invent?
Next time you need to feed the dog, take out the trash, or turn off the alarm clock, let your imagination go wild! With a little imagination and some ingenuity, you could make a BIG DEAL out of NOTHING!
