1. Your group of experts will investigate one of the following patients. 
The teacher will inform you of which patient is yours.  Use the information
about your patient to record the symptoms, family history
and karyotype results on the summary sheet.

2. Use the Patient Information Summary Sheet to record information
about your patient.

3. Use your Patient Information Summary Sheet and the following websites
to research general information about various genetic disorders. 


The suspected diseases could be one of the following:
Sickle cell disease, Huntington's Disease, Hemophilia, Cystic Fibrosis,
Parkinson's disease, Down Syndrome

Your Genes, Your Health

 

  4. Now that your research and analysis is complete, you must create a presentation in the form of a brochure or a Power Point.  The goal of this presentation is to provide the patient and their family with information and resources that will help them understand and cope with the disorder.  Check out the Rubrics for more information.
