The Nutritionist - the person
who understands the meaning of "you are what you eat." This person
understands the Food Pyramid and knows that good nutrition fuels the body to
reach maximum performance.

The Strength Expert - Muscle
building is key in burning calories. The muscle mass you have, the
more calories you burn - even at rest!

The Cardiovascular Fitness Expert
- Weight training is fine, but this expert understands that the biggest
muscle we have -- our heart -- needs to be conditioned.

The Flexibility Expert - In
order to move the way we want to, our bodies have to be flexible. This
expert knows that stretching must be a part of every fitness routine --
before exercise and after!
Each member of your group will play a vital role in
leading your new clients to a successful and rewarding experience at your new
gym. Each member must create a unique plan for your two new clients.
They are to help them achieve the desired result in their respective area.
Each plan must be based on a four-week cycle, and include the following:
After your team has selected each
role they will play...
- Look up several types of
exercises or strategies for your particular chosen area.
- Answer the questions that are
in each section.
- Create a workout cycle or
food/living guide for a three week period for each "client".
- Develop a
PowerPoint
presentation that lays out a three week plan for both an obese female and a
diabetic male athlete. The presentation must contain links that are
helpful websites. Each group member must provide three hyperlinks
helpful to their particular plan. Remember to cite your references in
the resource section!
