Time Zones Map

It is not the same time in every place in the US at once.  Each time you cross a time zone going East add 1 hour.  Each time you cross a time zone going West subtract an hour.

For example: If it is 3 p.m. in Washington DC, what time is it in Seattle?

                                                  Answer: 12 p.m.

For example: If it is 6 p.m. in Denver, what time is it in Houston?

                                                 Answer: 7 p.m.

The four Continental Time Zones: 

Eastern

Central

Mountain

Pacific

West.............................................................East

There are 24 World Time Zones.  Each time you cross a time zone going East add 1 hour.  Each time you cross a time zone going West subtract an hour.

                                                  Answer: 4 a.m.
