Hurricane

Positions of High (H) and Low (L) pressure centers can influence a weather forecast.  Pressure is measured in millibars (mb).  Areas of pressure are indicted on the map with lines and  the number indicting millibars of pressure.  The area of pressure continues through all the places the line goes through.  Use the two maps to determine the areas of pressure. The first map has the weather forecast and the second map contains the state names.  Use the links below to look up some weather terms and help you answer the questions on the Weather Worksheet.
