Evaluation Rubric

Your participation and factual information provided in your individual personal budget including salary, percentages of funds deposited in specific categories as they relate to the pie chart, calculations to determine net pay and the knowledge demonstrated of these financial tools will be individually accessed.  Your presentation of your particular area of expertise; i.e. Banker, Transportation Expert, Household Manager or House Hunter to your team and your ability to defend and factually present information relative to your area of expertise, and critically question and critique other teams according to the information you have learned will be examined as outlined in the evaluation rubric.

Individual Activities
I

 

 Student reads occupational choices; and selects one of the careers. Student records that career salary by inserting into budget calculator. Student verbalizes the educational training required for this career.

Student will perform the tasks previously described and calculate the payroll deductions expected.

Student will perform all the previous tasks and use the pie chart to calculate percentage of savings and percentages distributed to sub categories

Student will perform all the previous tasks and present the calculated contributions to teammates during group budget discussions, modifying the categories in agreement with the finalized group budget.

 

 

 

 

 

Group Activities
I

Student will actively present a description of the Role task researched and justify the decisions made which impact the team budget.

Student will complete the tasks mentioned previously and demonstrate how an inadequate contribution will rapidly deplete the monthly budget.

Student will perform the tasks previously assigned and demonstrate cooperative redistribution of funds to reconcile group budget, while maintaining adequate funds for their management position in the team

Student completes the previous tasks and communicates and modifies apartment selection, location or transportation selection without depleting the monthly savings allocation.

 

 

 

Individual Activities II

Student will evaluate their own budget calculation as it compares to the group budget calculation completed by their team.

Student must use the previous evaluation to calculate their personal savings deposits after one year of saving.

Student will compile the previous information and state a savings goal or desired purchase for which this savings will be used.

Student completes the previous tasks and is able to verbally explain why the requirement of consistent and uninterrupted savings could not be changed.

 

 

 

Group Activities II

 

Student assists in the team presentation with specific information related to their chosen career and their team leadership position.

Student will accomplish the previous activity and actively contribute to the critical evaluation of the other team presentation by specific questioning to the same role as they acquired.

Student will perform all of the previous tasks, and be able to verbally justify the acceptance or rejection of the

observed team presentation.

Student will perform all of the previous tasks and verbally demonstrate the most likely to succeed team based upon the information learned in the pursuit of this project.
