The list below are extra activities you and your child can complete together at home.

1. Daily Letter- Choose a “letter of the Day” and print it at the top of a large paper (or small lunch bag). Have your child search for  pictures in magazine that begin with the sound of that letter.

2. Letter Making- Have your child design a selected letter by using things around the house. (wool, paper clips, ribbon, etc.)

3. Magnetic Letters- Use letters to match uppercase and lowercase letters. Ask your child to give the sound the letters make and/or recite words beginning with the specific letters.  * A cookie tray is excellent for magnetic letters

4. Magnetic Letter Search- Use a specific letter and place on a cookie tray. Ask your child to find objects around the hose with the same letter sound and place it on the tray

5. Memory Game- Print the letters of the alphabet on index cards. Print one letter per card ( uppercase and lowercase letters) Place approximately 10 of each , face down. face down. Ask your child to try and match the uppercase with the lowercase. Ask your child to identify the letters as they’re turned over.

6. Memory Game- Part 2 Repeat above . Ask you child to recite words beginning with the matched letters.

7.Traveling  Letter Game- While traveling, ask your child to find something beginning with a specific letter, or reverse and point out an object and ask your child what letter does  the beginning sound represent

8. Supermarket Game- Same as the Traveling Game

1 Daily Numbers- Choose a “Number of the Day” and print it at the top of a large paper (or small lunch bag). Have your child search for objects totaling the specific number.

2.Magnetic Number Search- Use a specific magnetic number and place on a cookie tray. Ask your child to find objects around the hose totaling the specific number and place on the tray.

3.Domino Match- (Dominoes can be purchased at local 'Dollar Stores") Have your child count and match dominos according to the game instructions. Have them count the dots as they match the dominoes.
