To get through the understory you must work as a group to reach the canopy.
First you'll be assigned to a team of four students where each group member will be responsible for a different job. Let's take a look at what the different job responsibilities are together! Click on the tour guides to find out more.

Now that you understand what each job does, you will work as a group to use the story map to discuss characters, setting, problem, events, and solution.
Use these graphic organizers to help you plan your story.

| When you have completed your group graphic organizer, talk to your teacher about your before beginning your story map. |

Now that you have completed your story plan, you will be assigned to a job.
After you've been assigned a job by your teacher you will go back to your job description to review your responsibilities.
You will work independently on your part of this group project.
After all parts are completed you will put together your final copy to make a presentation.
The group will present their book in a presentation.
Continue on to your individual jobs.
