Technology in the Classroom
|
|
Introduction Fractions are more than just one unit in the 6th grade math curriculum. The building blocks from the previous grade are essential and the continued program relies on students acquiring these skills. Answering the essential, unit, and content questions will help keep class focused on our goals. It is imperative that students relate comparing fractions to the real world. Sense and meaning will drive their desire to retain this information. Technology will provide motivation for learning as students will work on Microsoft PowerPoint, Publisher, and research on the Internet. A culminating interactive game of Jeopardy will inspire the learners as well. |
