The Hundred Dresses Contest
Imagine that you are Wanda and you are going to enter the coloring and drawing dress contest.  How do you think she was feeling about the contest?  Do you think she thought she could actually win?

You are going to go through the same process that Wanda and her class did for their contest, so you can get first hand experience with contests and the feelings that come along with them.

Your job is to create a dress for the Hundred Dresses Contest.  Pick one of the following categories to create your dress.
Party Everyday
Sports  Patriotic
School

You can only pick one category to create your dress.  You may use any material you choose to create the dress, but it must be created on the pattern.  You can simply color the pattern, or add things to it.  It is your choice.  Click on the picture on the left, to view your dress pattern.  Don't forget to print it out so you can use it to create your dress!
When you have finished your dress, it will be hung up on the office windows to be judged within the specific categories, by the entire school!

In addition to the dress, you will also have to hand in three journal entries.  They will have to describe your feelings throughout the contest.  Your entries should be as follows:

-one before the contest starts

-one during the contest

-one after the contest is over

All of your entries should describe how YOU are feeling at these times.  Be honest!
