Goal and Objectives

 Its not easy being Green!

     The ultimate goal of “It’s not easy being Green!” Web Quest is using technology to develop a green classroom and eventually a green school! My goal is to build, grow and maintain the ideas which my students will develop in the Web Quest. Hopefully in the process change and expand the lifestyles of both students and teachers to become a little greener.

Class objectives Pre-Web Quest

·        Brainstorm

·        Venn diagrams

·        Explain recycling of aluminum, paper, plastic, etc.

·        Discuss energy and water conservation.

·        Implement ideas for classroom

·        Conservation ideas for home

·        Collect boxes

·        Create swap box

·        Design energy reminders

·        Make recycling corner in room

·        Schedule for pick-ups

·        Create class webpage with Green updates

·        Bring plants into classroom

Individual objectives

·        Research paper, plastic, aluminum recycling

·        Research energy conservation

·        Research water conservation

·        Design a cool new lunch bag

·        Create a “Green “menu for cafeteria

·        Write an open-ended response what will happen to Notebook after you recycle it.

·        Compute mathematical equations

·        Visit recommended/required  websites

·        Complete all “Getting Greener” requirements

Group objectives

·        Create groups, assign roles

·       Write proposal/invitation to Principal, Media Specialist, Custodians

·        Design school Green mascot

·        Build: Green Posters from recycled materials

·        Hunt for facts

·        Organize teams/ group discussions

·        Brainstorm strategies, ideas, action plans

·        Manage time

·        Institute calendar/ group timeline

·        Liaison ideas/dates with teachers, students, Principals, Media Specialist, Custodians

·        Design /construct/test Power Point

·        Present PowerPoint

·        Create group website “The Green Pages”

·        Update, post, monitor, share “Green Activities” on website
