Immigration to America has been taking place for hundreds of years. Each group comes with their own cultures and traditions. However, they all come with one goal in mind...to live out the American Dream. For many years, immigrant groups had to deal with social acceptance, poor living conditions, and jobs that many Americans would never dream of doing. Years later, we embrace the cultural contributions that all of these groups have brought to our country. However, immigration proves to be a very controversial issue today. Do you believe that we should continue to welcome new immigrants or close the borders permanently? Is there room more cultural evolution, or have we already gained an identity?
