The Native American Wars

Home

Welcome to an interactive website that focuses on the conflict between the United States government and the Native Americans during the late-nineteenth-century.

The goal of this site is for the students to obtain a greater knowledge of the interaction between the Native Americans and the United States by using technology as a means of instruction.

This project consists of individual and group components.  The students will complete an online scavenger hunt and create a timeline of events.  Then they will work with a group to create a PowerPoint presentation, brochure or poster, and a skit.

After completing all requirements, the students should be able to evaluate whether or not Native American removal was necessary, and whether or not the U.S. government was justified in its actions.

This site has been designed for high school American History students.
