Module 2: Introduction

Module 2 explains the steps needed to syndicate podcasts on the website. Syndication uses XML file that contains information about the podcast that we created. This file is also called an RSS feed. Once created, RSS feed is posted on the website along with an RSS logo.For this part of the module we’ll use Dreamweaver. In addition the RSS feed can be submitted to online services that serve as distribution center for podcast feeds, one of which is iTunes Store.
The second part of the module illustrates steps on creating Flash movie that can be viewed online. A sample MOV file is used for the demonstration. Steps involve importing the .mov file in to Flash and exporting a Flash video file. This file is then linked on the HTML page using Dreamweaver.
