Grab your pilot hat and let's climb aboard an airplane and take a tour of New Jersey the Garden State. As you view New Jersey from an airplane's point of view you will discover New Jersey is made up of four different regions. The four regions are the Ridge and Valley, the Highlands, the Piedmont, and the Atlantic Coastal Plain. You will be looking at a map and discover for yourself the physical characteristics of each region by filling out a Pilot's Log Sheet independently. The physical characteristics are what you see with your own eyes. For example, do you see mountains, rivers, houses, and so on. Next, you will be given a partner to work on a project. The project will be to create a map of New Jersey that shows the four physical regions and their characteristics. Finally, you will be able to add a point on the map of the place you've visited in New Jersey. Okay pilot's begin your engines by clicking on the airplane below to start your journey.
