GeologistsYour job is to research the time period and history of the Earth and its life, especially that which is recorded in the rocks. You will attempt to determine the age of the fossil, as close as possible to the actual age.   You will use the law of superposition to determine the age.  This law states that in horizontal sedimentary rock layers the oldest are at the bottom and each higher layer is younger than the layers that is below it.

The questions you must be able to answer are:

1.    Were the teeth of your dinosaur sharp or flat?  Explain the purpose of their shape?

2.    Did your dinosaur have horns? If so, how many and what were they used for?

3.    What was the normal lifespan of your dinosaur?

4.    Was your dinosaur a social animal?  Or did he prefer to be alone?

5.    What era of geological time would your dinosaur be found in?

6.    What period of geological time would your dinosaur be found in?
