Paleontologists: Your job is to study the fossils and any ancient plants and animals there may be. You will examine the fossil, determine the sedimentary rock in which they were formed and where they were from. Remember that fossils occur in a particular order, older rocks will contain fossils of simple organisms, while younger rocks will contain fossils of more complex organisms. Fossils also provide evidence of Earth’s climate in the past.
The questions you must be able to answer are:
1. Was your dinosaur an herbivore, carnivore, or omnivore?
2. Did your dinosaur have any natural enemies?
3. What type of environment did your live in?
4. What color was your dinosaur? Did coloring help camouflage your dinosaur
and enable him to survive?
5. Whose brain is larger, yours or your dinosaur’s?
6. Did your dinosaur live in a community or alone?
