How to program an Enabling Devices Cheap Talk 4 Inline

Step 1 Choose the PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) Pictures you want to use and place them in the 4 colored boxes on the Cheap Talk.

Step 2 Now it is time to become familiar with the buttons that you will use to program the Cheap Talk. On the back of the devices, you will find a black button that turns. This button is to turn on the device and regulate the volume. The red button in the record button. This button will be held down while recording the sound/word the device is to say during the recording stage.

Step 3 Once you are familiar with the device, you can began to program. Make sure to turn the device on with the black button before attempting to record! To record a sound/word that corresponds to the PECS picture you chose, hold down the button of your choice while holding down the red record button found on the back of the device.

|
Step 4 While pressing the two buttons simultaneously, speak into the microphone located on the back of the device next to the red record button. When done recording, release both buttons.

|
Step 5 To test to see if the sound/word is recorded correctly, just press the colored button that has the PECS picture on it that you held down during the recording process. *Make sure the volume is up or you may not hear what was recorded.

Step 6 Follow steps 3-5 to record sounds/words on the other colored buttons on the Cheap Talk.

| Be careful, your programming can be easily recorded over! Make sure you are pressing the correct button during recording!
