Technology Education vs. Educational Technology
|
Things to know....
Technology Education helps each student develop an awareness of technologies and express ideas learned in classes at the high school. Understanding technology has become more important. We need to consider the economics of technology, intended and unintended effects , because the outcomes of technology in our lives change the role of how we function in todays' world. The state has allowed Technology Education courses to be used toward graduation . A Technology elective can be used to fulfill a third year math or science sequence. Interested?

The Technology program is designed to help student meet the following objectives:
Understand, use, and control technology.
Use tools and equipment to build and maintain technological devices
and machines.
Select, prepare for, and enter training programs in existing and emerging
occupations.
Develop an awareness of the impact of technology on their personal
and working lives.
The instruction in the Technology program continues the emphasis on making tangible products and using hands-on experiences in shops and laboratories .
