Computer Shopping
Have a son or
daughter going off to college? Most college students are interested in
purchasing a notebook to take away to school or to use at home. Here
are some questions you might ask yourself before making your final purchase.
1. Who will be
using the computer?
2. What will
the computer be used for?
3. Do you want
to travel with your notebook?
4. How much do
you want to spend?
5. Are you
concerned about technical support?
6. Is size and
weight a concern?
7. Will you be
playing games, listening to music or watching DVD's on your
computer?
Since most
students going from high school to college are somewhat experienced, the
following comparison is based on an average level user and an expert user.
Both of these computers are equipped to do Internet research, burn CD's,
download movies and songs, and send e-mails. The difference is in the
speed of the processor and the larger screen size. The expert user's
laptop has a larger hard drive and is able to hold more long term memory.
The only other difference is in the price of the two laptops. The
expert one being the more expensive.
