The purpose of my interactive web site – the task does not lend itself to a WebQuest – is to teach students about Mount Everest. They will learn about the history of the area and its explorers. Video and text will be viewed and questions will be answered. The big project involves students working as a team to prepare for their own expedition to the summit. Equipment will be purchased and each student will create journal entries. A final presentation, by group, includes a PowerPoint presentation. Everything is graded via a readily available rubric.
