Bring your data to the group and develop a plan of care based on your particular role.

  • You will then present, as a group, your care plan to interdisciplinary rounds that you and your team members have jointly created.
  • The group is responsible for developing, preparing and presenting a care plan that will include the nursing process, and a formal, written plan of care (see worksheet). This should be typewritten. Any handouts that may be of benefit to your presentation may be included.
  • Please remember to cite all sources!
  • Please remember to work together as a team. You will not only be graded on content, but also on your knowledge of the subject from the different viewpoints, as well as your ease of presenting. This means - PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE!

Each team will design a

Comprehensive nursing care plan

for a patient diagnosed with MRSA

Teams will have three class periods to complete this project.

The first half of the first two classes will be for you to work on your individual roles in the quest; the second half of these classes will be designated for your group to meet and design the care plan based on your research findings. In the third class each team will be given 15 minutes to present their Nursing care plan.
