Welcome to the "Partners in Prevention " WebQuest. This WebQuest, designed for senior nursing students, can be completed during 3 class meetings or as an outside midterm assignment. The outcome of this project is that students will work collaboratively to design a care plan for a patient diagnosed with an infectious disease such as MRSA.

Each team member will individually complete a list of questions associated with their specific team role and complete a patient assessment form. Working in teams of three, students will design a comprehensive nursing care plan for a hospitalized patient diagnosed with MRSA.

This project allows participants to collaboratively design a comprehensive nursing care plan. Communication, consensus and collaboration builds teamwork which is tantamount to effective patient care in nursing practice. Collecting and assessing data and progressing through the stages of the nursing process allows students to use a standard process model to enhance critical thinking and problem solving.
