MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCES
Linguistic Intelligence:
This project appeals to the verbal/linguistic
students through the use of language during their presentation.
Naturalist Intelligence:
This project appeals to the Naturalist learner
because this has to do with geography and the land features. It
draws this learner in because of the learners sensitivity to all
things relating to the natural world.
Bodily/Kinesthetic Intelligence:
This assignment appeals to the Bodily/Kinesthetic
learner. This learner enjoys the hands on aspect of using the map
site and creating a poster.
Spatial Intelligence:
This assignment draws in the visual/spatial learner
through reading, researching and gathering information. In addition
to viewing all various pictures and this learner has a visual to
guide them in order to achieve the best grade possible; the rubrics.
Intrapersonal Intelligence:
This type of person enjoys working on the independent
tasks involved in this assignment.
Interpersonal Intelligence:
This learner will enjoy presenting as well as working
with another student during the second half of the project.
EMOTIONS
Emotions are very important in learning. This project of researching
an assigned historical location using a map created by one of their
teachers will appeal to children. They will feel important that
something was designed just for THEM to help them with their report.
They will also enjoy the feeling of sharing something personal about
a picture they have taken and added to the map.
LEARNING STYLES
Abstract Sequential Learner:
This learner likes working independently and thinking
for themselves in the individual aspect of this project. Researching
and gathering information for a particular task and planning the
project is also appealing to this learner.
Abstract Random Learner:
This learner enjoys the use of various materials
provided in the assignment such as videos, images and articles to
read. They also benefit from the comment
sharing, working at his/her own pace on the individual task.
Concrete Sequential Learner:
This learner likes knowing what is expected of him as
is provided in the introduction. They enjoy the immediate feedback
attained from working on the internet and the step by step
instructions provided.
Concrete Random Learner:
This learner enjoys discussing their research in with
their partner during the time spent on the computers doing the
research. This learner also enjoys listening to others relay the
information that they researched and the attention gained from the
class presentation.
BLOOM'S TAXONOMY
Remembering:
Recording their findings. Recalling basic information
about using the mappler site.
Understanding:
Translated researched information into notes to be
use for the report. Map page, log in, ID and password use.
Applying:
Modify and classify information gathered to be used for their
report. Develop a presentation based on the point on the map for the
class. Ability to log in properly.
Analyzing:
Explain and simplify researched information to his/her
partner. Analyze the research to be used for the group report. Put
into action the presentation.
Evaluating:
Assess all research and decide which is to be used for report.
Evaluate which facts are most important and should be shared in the
presentation poster.
Creating:
Integrate all ideas and research in order to create a
colorful, poster for their presentation. |
