The class will be able to store the new information presented because of the component of the lesson that requires them to critique the theories being presented.
Another factor that would increase the student's learning will be from the examination that will be given to them by the instructor based on the presentations.
Emotions play a huge impact on memory retention. The introduction evokes emotions that will entice the interest of students and influence retention.
The multiple technologies and teaching strategies utilized in this lesson will stimulate the different areas of the brain, therefore increasing memory retention and learning.
The appraisal of their own nursing practice involves utilization of prior learning and evaluation of the impact of nursing theories and its application.
The questionnaire that the each audience member fills out and any hand-outs provided during the presentation will enable the students to refresh their memory upon review of the documents.
A copy of the PowerPoint presentation by each group posted on WebCT that the whole class has access to will be of great help in stimulating new information into progressing into long-term memory.
