Your class will be divided into groups of five.  Each group member will choose one of the five senses to research and explain to the monkey.  You will answer questions, write sentences about your sense, draw a picture, and present your project to your group.

Step 1

    Each group member will choose one of the five senses below.  Click on the picture below to find information about the sense you chose.

     Click on the sense you chose below and answer the question on lined paper in at least three sentences.  Use details.

Step 3

    After answering your question, draw a monkey on a piece of construction paper.  You must include all five parts that are needed  to use our five senses.  Label each part.

 

Step 4

     Next, you will need to write your page for the class book.  Your book page needs to have a complete sentence and a picture that goes along with your sentence. You will start your sentences:

Step 5

You will present the items you created that show the five senses and the parts of the body. You  will teach your group members as well as the monkey about what you have learned here.  Your group must be able to tell me what your sense was and what you learned about it.

Step 6

Now you are ready to complete the following sentences. You have 2 choices: write the answer or draw a picture
 

1.  When I eat yummy popcorn, which of the senses am I using?  
 
2.  I like to watch cartoons, which sense am I using?  
 
3.  When mommy cooks spaghetti and meatballs, which sense am I using? 
 
4.  When I listen to music on the radio, which sense am I using? 
 
5. When I play ball with my friends, which sense am I using?
