These tasks were designed to be teacher directed.  The teacher will read aloud the directions and help guide students through activities as needed.

1. Sing a song "Plant a Little Seed" sung to the tune of "I've Been Working on the Railroad".                                    

2. Listen to We Plant A Seed and be able to identify plant parts on a worksheet.  Click here for worksheet (teacher will print)

3. Using five index cards, draw a picture of each plant part: seed, roots, stem, leaves, flower.  On the back of each card write the function for each part.

4. Identify each stage of the plants life cycle.

5. To create a book the teacher will put students in groups of 4 and assign each person one of the following jobs: writer, illustrator, editor and the narrator. The book must include in order the stages of the plant's life cycle and what each plant parts function is. Click on your job if you need help.
