Be the Change

Mahatma Gandhi, a very famous political and spiritual leader in India, once said, “The difference between what we do and what we are capable of doing would suffice to solve most of the world's problems.”

Pretty powerful words.  Which started us thinking about what we’ve done to help make a difference.  The list was not very long, but we decided not to be discouraged.  We decided instead to do more.  That was when we found another Ghandi quote.  He said, “You must be the change you wish to see in the world.”

Ghandi is famous for leading people in non-violent resistance, but we think his words have just as much meaning for environmentalists.  We also liked that Ghandi always talked about “the world.”  Our environment belongs to everyone, and what we do affects people thousands of miles away.  Climate change really is a global problem, and we have to work together if we want to solve it.

This website is part of our effort to “be the change” we want to see.  It is the start of our journey to do “what we are capable of.”

We hope this site will inspire you to do the same, and we hope you will share it with your friends and families.
