Purchasing the Perfect PC

Here are some questions you may want to consider before you start shopping:

1.  Who will be using the pc?

2.  What will the computer primarily be used for?

3.  Do you have a set budget?

4.  Do you have a specific brand in mind?

5.  Would you like a laptop or desktop?

6.  Are you interested in technical support?

Entry Level Consumer:

I would consider my mother to be the entry level consumer.  She wants to purchase a new computer to do basic functions such as to check e-mail, shop on-line, browse the Internet,  keep family photos, and do some on-line bill paying.    I think a desktop would be most suitable for her.

Average Level Consumer:

I would consider myself an average level consumer.  I would like to purchase a new  notebook, because it is convenient to use at work, home, or at school.  For personal use I plan to use the computer for shopping on the Internet, online bill paying, downloading songs and movies, burning CD's, and e-mailing.  Professionally I would like to use the computer for managing student grades and attendance, maintaining classroom lesson plans, keeping tests and quizzes, and to complete various graduate school work.
