Go to Lightspeed to answer these 2 questions.

1.  How fast is light?

2.  How long does it take for light to travel from the sun to Earth?

Amazing isn't it?  It's really fast.  Now go to shadows learn the answers to the next two facts.  Be sure to read the page and scroll down to "Go" to really learn about shadows.

3.  How many shadows are around the cone "player"?

4.  Why do you think there are this many shadows?

5.  What causes the shadows?

Take a short video break.  Go to BrainPop to learn from Tim and Moby.  Tim talks fast, so you may want to replay it.  You can only watch a total of five movies, though, so listen closely.

6.  What are two natural sources of light?

7.  What does refraction mean?
