1. Your teacher will put you in a team.
2. You and your partner will research one of the 3Rs: Recycling, Reducing or Reusing.

3. After you complete your journal page, follow the next steps.
a. You and your partner must choose three reasons why recycling, reusing or reducing is important.
b.Together, you will design a poster or type a letter to a friend or family member that shows your reasons.
c.
You will show or read your product to the class. Be ready to share your ideas.
4. Every team will present its letter or poster to the rest of the class. Explain how your "R" helps the earth. As each team presents its work, the other teams are responsible for being active listeners. After each of the teams for the recycling process has presented their work, the other groups will think, pair and share something they learned. The same steps will occur after the reusing and reducing groups have made their presentations.

5. To share what we have learned with others, we will hang up our posters in the school and mail our letters to our friends or families.
6. As a class, we will look at a variety of objects and sort them. Could they be Recycled, Reused or Reduced?
