Welcome! Introduction Page Are you ready to learn about the rock cycle? Take a look at this webpage I created for 2nd and 3rd grade students. This site was created in my Integrating Technologies class from Ramapo College of NJ. I accomplished this by designing a Hyperlinking Narrative, a Power Point (non-linear) Jeopardy game, a certificate for your geological study and a site of resources. You will learn what the rock cycle is about and view some video clips that will capture your students attention. You may also print some worksheets for your students to complete. This site was created following a theme that was a study in my multiage class in Morristown, NJ. We study rocks and went on a field trip to the Sterling Mines. View the excel worksheet as a follow up activity to the field trip. The above links will direct you to a word document that hyperlinks to a picture glossary. This word document will also direct you to a word search of the most popular rocks in NJ along with a map of the Morris County that illustrates the various rocks in this area. Complete the worksheet as a follow up to the Sterling Mines. Have fun! |
