Prior Knowledge
Students have learned about the Industrial Revolution previously. This is a culminating activity on 6 inventions.
Goals & Objectives
Students will be able to do independent research on their invention.
Students will collaborate in a group to make a presentation to the class.
Outcomes
Each role will have a specific visual aid to use in their presentation.
Historian-A collage showing the history of the times and how the invention changed society.
Designer-A labeled diagram explaining the design of the product.
Journalist-A concept web highlighting 5 fascinating facts about the invention.
Futurist-A timeline illustrating how the original invention evolved and its impact on the present day.

Bloom's Taxonomy
Students will have the opportunity to move up Bloom's Taxonomy. Students will recall previous learning of the Industrial Revolution. They will understand the directions and be able to apply what they have learned to their invention. They will analyze their information to see what will help them win an audition. They will evaluate their visual aid to try and get selected. As they work on their group presentation, they will put all of their parts together to form a complete presentation.
Sense and Meaning
Students will see how inventions from the past have actually made their lives easier today.
Transfer
Students will use prior knowledge from class about the Industrial Revolution to see how these inventions have impacted their lives today.
