Individual Task-Honing In On Cloning

There are two tasks you are expected to complete on this page. The first will familiarize you with the terminology associated with cloning. You will become comfortable with words such as cloning, genetic, DNA, embryo, somatic cell transfer, fertilization, zygote, Petri dish, cell, surrogate, nucleus, enucleation, germ cells, and chromosomes. You will need to know this information to complete the individual task. Click on Laboratory Help! above to obtain the definitions for the words listed.

Now, to obtain a thorough understanding of the differences and similarities among the three different types of cloning: Therapeutic or biomedical; Adult DNA or reproductive; Embryo or artificial twinning, go to: http://www.religioustolerance.org/cloning.htm
